How To Cook With Your Kids

by How To Mommy on 05.31.11

I’ve always been told how important it is to cook with your children.

Call me crazy, but I worry about mixing sharp {or hot} objects and toddlers.

However, my sister-in-law sent me a link to some easy, no-bake cookies that looked perfect!

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 8 graham crackers, finely ground
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup smooth natural peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons honey
  • 4 teaspoons unsweetened coconut

  1. I ground the crackers in my food processor
  2. I pre-measured the ingredients so they’d be ready for a toddler’s hands
  3. I then let her pour all the ingredients into our KitchenAid Mixer (Note: Supervise this instead of take pictures.  It will result in less mess.  🙂 )
  4. Combine the ingredients and pat into 8 cookies
  5. Lightly press in coconut

That’s it!  It was so easy and my daughter loved that she could eat them as soon as we finished.

What recipes do you love making with your children?
