by How To Mommy on 03.14.11

Are you constantly having to bring different dishes to various parties and are running out of ideas? I have  the perfect dish for you.

My Easy Taco Dip is sure to please any crowd of any age. I love how easy this is to make and it tastes pretty delicious too! 🙂

It has quickly become one of my husband’s favorites, so I wasn’t surprised when he requested I make it for his birthday party. Here’s what I did:

Easy Taco Dip

Ingredients:

  • Round Platter
  • 1 can Refried Beans
  • 12 oz. Guacamole (you can buy prepared or make your own)
  • 16 oz. Sour Cream (I use fat free or light to reduce the calories and fat content)
  • 1-2 Tbsp. Taco Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese
  • 1/4 Tomato, chopped
  • 1/8 Onion, chopped (green onion also works really well)
  • 1/2 can Black olives, sliced (I don’t like these, but they’re hubby’s favorite and since it was his birthday I thought I’d put them on for him)

Assembly:

Spread the refried beans to cover the round platter.
Spread the guacamole on top of the beans.
Combine the sour cream with about 1-2 Tbsp. of taco seasoning and spread on top of the guacamole.
Layer the shredded cheese on top of the sour cream mixture.
Chop your tomatoes, onions and black olives.Sprinkle chopped vegetables on top of your dip.  Serve with your favorite tortilla chips!

I am sure this easy taco dip will make you the hit of any potluck!  What are your favorite recipes to bring to parties?
