How To Eat: Peanut Butter Banana Shake

by How To Mommy on 05.25.11

I had to share my newest recipe obsession that my daughter and I cannot get enough of.

It’s like a banana daiquiri for breakfast (minus the booze…{though a little rum certainly wouldn’t be bad… 😉 }).

Peanut Butter Banana Shake

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1 T. peanut butter {also, 2 T. of PB2 is great too!}
  • 1 c. skim milk
  • 2 ice cubes {you may want to pre-crush if your blender isn’t spectacular.}
  • 1 tsp. honey

Combine all ingredients except honey and blend {I use my GE Rocket Blender…it’s awesome}. Stir in honey. Enjoy!

The recipe could not be more simple and it’s a great use of those old bananas that are too squishy to eat. You pop them in the freezer (peeled) and in a few hours they’re ready to make a delicious treat.

I hope you try this and love it as much as we do!

Yum…I make this often, it is a good breakfast, all the ingredients needed to give you energy and nutrients….but if you want to add a touch of chocolate and health, use Hershey’s natural cocoa unsweetened…It has antioxidants in it…it’s delicious as an added flavor too…thanks for sharing……

I’ve never made a shake with peanut butter, but peanut butter and shakes are both very popular around here, so I’ll have to give it a try! I’m so very curious about the how the flavors will mix!

Yum! That shake sounds really good. It’d be awfully tempting to add ice cream, but then it wouldn’t be nearly as nutritious. I bet it’d be good though! 🙂
