How To Have a Happy House – Week 2

by How To Mommy on 08.11.11

Last week I decided my house could benefit from a little sprucing up, so I entered the Happy House Challenge.

My tasks last week were to make the bed and clear the sink every day.  I’d say I was 7 for 7 on the bed and 5 for 7 on the sink.  There were never dirty dishes, but some needed to be put away.

I couldn’t be perfect on week one!  I’d have no room for improvement.  🙂

Let’s see what’s on this week’s agenda:

How To Have a Happy House – Week 2

Clear the Clutter: Pick one room a night to clear the clutter. It can even be the same room every night- your choice. But choose one room to get in tip top shape.

Sweep the Kitchen Floor: Sweeping the kitchen daily keeps that dust and debris from making it to other areas of the house. Just a quick sweep with a broom or a dry Swiffer type product is all it needs.

Oh she is starting to get into my weaknesses…floors.  But with a lab and a messy toddler, sweeping the kitchen daily isn’t a bad idea.

Ironically, I had a play date this morning so the photos above are how the main level looks today.  Let’s see if I can keep it going for a week…

How’d you do last week?

These ideas seem doable and not at all overwhelming. I think I can do it!
