The Itzbeen timer is really a sanity saver, especially when you are a brand new Mom. I don’t know about you, but there were many times when I would wake up in the middle of the night and have absolutely no idea for how long I had been sleeping. Or I’d doze off in the rocking chair, not realizing that my tiny cat nap had slowly turned into 3 hours!
The Itzbeen keeps a running timer of how long it has been since you last fed baby and changed her diaper. This has been so incredibly helpful for me; I never have to worry that I’ve gone too long without feeding or changing her. There is also a nap timer, which we sometimes use, and a miscellaneous timer that can be used for medication or something else. It also has a clock and backlight.
There are iPhone apps that have similar functionality, but we opted for the Itzbeen instead because I can actually hand the timer to my husband, or to the Nanny, and they can take it from where I left off. I couldn’t really hand my iPhone over to them.
My semi-forgetful husband says that it gives him peace of mind. We are still using it every day, even now that our daughter is 8 months old. It has become my #1 gift at baby showers!

I never could figure the thing out in my newborn fog, so I just used a little note book and pen- we called it the boob book
I did too with the first one. By the second kid and a toddler there was no time. Basically, if she cried I just assumed it was time to feed her.
That looks fantastic!! Following you from the Monday hop. Hope you can stop by and return the favor soon. http://www.shaunanosler.blogspot.com/
That is one of my fave baby gadgets, as well! I still use it (my baby is 8 months old now) to keep track of how long it’s been since he had his medicine, or how long his nap was! (Or to remind myself to check his cloth diaper before it gets too full!)
