We recently moved, and before we moved our baby was not very mobile. By the time we got into our new house our daughter, Karina was army crawling. It was very cute to watch, until she started to get into EVERYTHING. Wires, dog toys, shoes, nothing was off limits to my curious baby.
The pack and play contained her for a couple of weeks, and then she hated it because she wanted more space. Getting anything done around my house was impossible. Something had to change. Enter this:
This is what we call the baby cage, without it, my life would be awful. I can put the little monster in her “cage” so I can fold laundry, do dishes and other mom stuff (like watch Grey’s Anatomy reruns). I know she will pretty much be safe in there and entertained by all her toys. All of my friends with babies who have seen it want one or went out and got one themselves. It is that good.
This is also where we keep all of her toys, so all of the baby stuff is in one area and not overtaking my living room, which is nice. And it helps me to not feel like Babies R Us threw up in my living room after a long night of drinking.

We have the same one and it really is incredible! We just got it about 2 weeks ago and it has already allowed me to get showers, cook dinner, do laundry…the list goes on and on!!
And the best thing is that Evan totally doesn’t hate it! He hated hanging out in the pack and play, but he is totally content hanging out in here while I make a run to the laundry room. Big Win!
